Free ‘green training’ for private landlords
In a proactive move towards sustainability, the Caerphilly Borough Council has launched a pioneering initiative aimed at private landlords. Under this initiative, landlords with properties in the Caerphilly borough are eligible to participate in free ‘green skills’ training. This training program is designed to equip landlords with the knowledge and tools necessary to implement green energy solutions, thereby enhancing both the environmental and economical performance of their properties.
The council’s initiative comes at a crucial time when the global community is increasingly focused on combating climate change and reducing carbon emissions. By embracing green energy technologies and sustainable practices, landlords can not only contribute to a healthier environment but also significantly reduce energy costs and improve the efficiency of their properties.
According to the council, participants in the training program will gain comprehensive insights into various green energy technologies and sustainable building practices. This knowledge will not only help landlords stay ahead of regulatory changes but also enhance the long-term value of their investments in rental properties.
One of the primary goals of this initiative is to encourage landlords to play an active role in reducing carbon emissions within the community. By adopting green energy solutions, landlords can contribute to a sustainable future while fulfilling their responsibilities towards environmental stewardship.
Carolyn Beddis, Employment Manager at Caerphilly Council, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “We believe that by providing free ‘green skills’ training, we can empower landlords to make informed decisions that benefit both their properties and the environment.” She further encouraged interested landlords to learn more about the training opportunities and express their interest before the deadline.
Landlords who wish to participate in the training or find out more information are encouraged to contact Carolyn Beddis directly. She can be reached at 07789374807 or via email at beddic@caerphilly.gov.uk. Interested parties are advised to reach out by Friday, August 2nd, to ensure their participation in this valuable initiative.
By offering free ‘green skills’ training, the Caerphilly Borough Council is not only demonstrating its commitment to sustainability but also empowering landlords to become leaders in environmental responsibility. Through education and support, this initiative aims to create a community where green energy solutions are accessible and integral to everyday property management practices.
